Dr. Janine McKay strongly believes that inter-collaborative care is vital to an individual’s plan of management to deliver the best multi-model approach to care. She has a diverse clinical approach by combining a multitude of training and techniques systems to achieve specific treatment goals. Dr. McKay passionate about helping others reach their potential and live an active pain-free lifestyle.

Dr. McKay is a Canadian trained Chiropractor and has achieved a Doctor of Chiropractic degree from the Canadian Memorial Chiropractic College, Masters degree in Science (Kinesiology) from the University of British Columbia, Diploma in Contemporary Medical Acupuncture from McMaster University, Bachelor degree in Human Kinetics from the University of British Columbia, and a Diploma in Human Performance from Langara College. Dr. McKay has completed all the requirement for sports residency program through the Royal College of Chiropractic Sports Sciences in Canada. To compliment her extensive education, Dr. McKay has been a strength and conditioning coach for over 10 years and is nationally certified by the NSCA and CSEP as a strength and conditioning specialist and an exercise physiologist.

Her professional experience includes working with a variety of individuals from the beginner to elite athlete, weekend warriors, retirees, first time exercisers, domestic engineers, desk jockeys, manual laborers and anything in between. Many patients seek Dr. McKay for her ability to specifically diagnosis and treat a wide variety of musculoskeletal injuries and provide treatment plans that combine soft-tissue therapy, mobilizations/manipulations, kinesiotaping, rehabilitation, strength and conditioning and acupuncture. Dr. McKay has experience in treating many sport-related injuries for sports such as CrossFit, golf, tennis, football, soccer, hockey, swimming, cycling, running and much more.

Dr. McKay’s field of specialty for her thesis focused on rehabilitation for distance runners with knee pain. In her free time, Dr. McKay enjoys running, spinning and weight training. Dr. Mckay is recognized as a BC Amateur BodyBuilding Association (BCABBA) Fitness Competitor in 2015 and has participated in many recreational events for running.
